Salmon Power: Can our rivers give us salmon and electricity?
Rachel Little, Outreach Coordinator and Fisheries Biologist, from the Benton County Conservation District, was able to present an amazing lesson at HMS this week, titled: Salmon Power: Can our rivers give us salmon and electricity? All HMS sixth grade science classes and one seventh grade science class learned how salmon pass through dams on the Columbia and Snake Rivers. They also learned how dams generate hydropower for our state and beyond. Thank you, Rachel and the Benton County Conservation District!
