All SWAT students are expected to attend SWAT Camp. This year's camp
will be in room 102 at Housel Middle School and will run from Wednesday 9:00 AM
-3:00 PM, July 16th through Friday, July 18th. The school district will
provide pizza lunch around noon each day.
During SWAT camp, students will be trained in the basic skills that are
expected of all student technician interns. Students will learn to perform
basic maintenance on computers including vacuuming, scanning, defragging
machines. SWAT team members will also learn to clean out temporary files,
spyware, and viruses that tend to slow down computers. Students will also
learn basic preventative measures that can keep both district and personal
machines running at an optimal level.
The hours earned during SWAT camp can be used towards the students 64
required semester hours if that child is in the zero or 7th hour programs.
Students who are in SWAT 1st through 6th period may use the points as extra
credit (1 point per four hours of work.) For more information on grading, check
out SWAT Expectations and grading.
