Juniors and Seniors in 08-09: Interested in Law enforcement?? YVTech is offering two programs that would be great for you. First, they are offering a summer program from June 16th-July 11th (8:00-1;30) at Sunnyside High in Criminal Justice. They will also be offering a Criminal Justice Class At Sunnyside during the school year in the morning. The teacher has a wide variety of experiences in law enforcement. If you are interested in the class, please stop by and see Mrs. Strausz either Thursday (today) or Tomorrow!
Class of 2009 – Your senior photos are due to the Yearbook staff BEFORE September 30 next fall. Please schedule appointments early as it generally takes at least 3 weeks to get prints back once they’ve been chosen. We cannot accept any after that date, so if you want to be in the yearbook next year, meet your deadline. See Mrs. Smith if you have questions on size.
Everyone, 2009 yearbooks for next year will be sold the first 2 weeks of school and for 1 week in December for $40.00, after that December 12th, they will be $50.00 and only on a first-come basis. Buy your book at the beginning of school to ensure you have one.
COMMUNITY
Tri-City Dust Devil's are having a school night at Gesa Stadium on June 25th. Tickets are $5 per person. Gates open at 6:15 p.m. Game starts at 7:15. Our PTA will receive $1 per ticket that goes.
Seniors to be we have a deal for you. Patterson school district is offering summer school for the elementary kids August 11th – 14th and August 18th – 21st. This would be a great opportunity for community service hours or if you had an idea of a culminating project (some type of art, sports, educational camp for the kids). The seniors to be would need to do the planning, advertising etc, but supervision would be provided. The Prosser Mustangs will be traveling to Redmond on Sept 5th for the opening football game in the Fall. The Chamber of Commerce has reserved a charter bus for fans to ride if they are interested in attending the game. The cost is $30 which includes the ride up & back. Tickets to the game need to be purchased upon arrival at the game. The bus will depart at 3:30 pm on Friday Sept 5. Any questions, please call 786-3711.
