8th Grade Language Arts
Course Description:
Students will be involved in the 6-Traits of Writing (Word Choice, Sentence Fluency, Voice, Ideas/Content, Organization, and Conventions); work on WASL activities, skills, and writing (expository and persuasive); speeches/presentations; have a grammar study; Career Unit; work through various novels (The Giver, Number the Stars, Roll of Thunder, or Dragon’s Gate).
