Grade Levels |
Grades 3 – 10
and piloting grade 2 |
|
Description |
The Measures of
Academic Progress are electronically administered and scored
achievement tests. The test is an adaptive test which means the
level of questions become more difficult as long as the student
continues to be successful. The score on a MAP test is not age
dependent. For example, a student scoring a 201 in reading
indicates the same thing regardless of grade level or age.
|
|
Purpose |
The test is
designed to measure growth in student learning for individual
students, classrooms, schools, and districts. This allows
teachers and administrators to track student growth regardless of
ability when entering the classroom or school. |
